Product Features

About this Product

weberend protect is a surface treatment for protecting render from water and liquid ingress.

Prevents ingress of most types of surface contamination, including water, oil and graffiti whilst maintaining the surface aesthetics and allowing the substrate to breathe.

Features and Benefits

  • Repels water - water beads on the surface resisting water ingress and protecting the building substrate, keeping it cleaner and drier
  • Long lasting protection - provides an invisible defence againstthe elements whilst retaining the original appearance of the substrate
  • Vapour permeable - allowing the substrate to breathe
  • Algae, moss and mould growth is caused by water ingress.
  • weberend protect helps to reduce water ingress and protect the substrate.
  • Facades looks better for longer - dirt, stains and other atmospheric contaminants do not adhere to the surface
  • Helps to prevent deterioration of surfaces increasing substrate lifespan and reducing maintenance costs
  • UV resistant - coating does not degrade in UV light
  • Non-flammable
  • Non-toxic –VOC free

Preparation & Application

Any existing cracks in the substrateshould be repaired prior to application. Ensure that the substrate to be treated is not damp - moisture content should be = or <5% to a depth of 10mm. The substrate should be clean, free from dust, dirt, oil, efflorescence, organic growth and old paint films.

Always test apply on a small, discreet area of the substrate before commencing work.

weberend protect may be applied by using low pressure spray, brush or roller. When treating highly textured surfaces (such as dash or roughcast finish) we recommend using a low pressure spray for application. Ensure application from bottom to top on vertical surfaces taking care not to let the product run.

Subsequent applications must be applied “wet on wet” within 10 minutes of previous application.

Once a fully treated surface is dry weberend protect cannot be re-applied as there will be a loss of adhesion.

Due care should be taken during application to avoid spillage or over spray onto abutting fixtures and fitting, on non-porous surfaces wipe off any residue before the product dries. Consideration should be given to masking and protection components that will easily absorb the product.

Water repellence is evident after initial curing but may take up to 7 days to reach 100% effectiveness.

Note: The technical data provided isbased on laboratory tests and some variations may occur on large areas and substrates of an uncertain nature.

Do not allow the applied product to dry between applications.

Packaging, Health & Safety

weberend protect is supplied in 5L and 25L containers.

Coverage / Yield

Coverage rates vary according to substrate porosity.

All surfaces must be treated in saturation in 1-3 applications “wet on wet” applied to ensure 100% product effectiveness.

This varies with substrate, and treating a small trial area is recommended to calculate true consumption.

Storage and Shelf Life

When stored unopened in a dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C shelf life is 24 months from date of manufacture.

Health and Safety

Read label before use.

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
