Funding options for social housing schemes

Weber can help in this process as it has established relationships with energy suppliers and managing agents to smooth the administration associated with applying and securing funding. In addition, weber.therm EWI systems are approved by energy suppliers and Ofgem for use on grant-funded schemes.
Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP)
Announced in September 2008, this £350m funding programme through energy suppliers and generators is aimed at reducing carbon emissions and energy bills in the most deprived communities using measures generally overlooked in EEC and CERT, including external wall insulation.
Due to run until 2011, this programme is targeting at least 100 communities with multiple measures to improve thermal efficiency and heating. Weber can provide advice and contacts to help deliver funding and installation for qualifying local authorities, RSLs and community groups.
Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT)
As successor to the Energy Efficiency Commitment, CERT began in April 2008 and is now expected to run until 2012.
Aimed at reducing individual homes energy usage, it has focused upon insulation measures for cavity walls and lofts but external wall insulation is included within qualifying measures so funding support may be available for both individual householders and as well as social and private landlords.
