Funding options for social housing schemes

Upgrading solid wall properties with external wall insulation systems has been progressing under the Decent Homes programme and this is likely to continue to the end of the initiative. Other Government initiatives, managed through the energy suppliers, such as EEC and CERT have concentrated upon cavity and loft insulation whereas the recently announced CESP programme is targeted at the more difficult measures such as solid wall insulation. Both social and private landlords may therefore be eligible for funding support via these schemes
