weber.floor 4031 super flow

weber.floor 4031super flow is a self-smoothing, fine levelling compound with a long open time; which is especially suited to manual application but can also be pumped. The product is formulated from aluminous cement, with a grain size: < 0.5 mm. weber.floor 4031 is protein free and resistant to alkaline moisture.

weber.floor 4031 super flow is recommended for fine smoothing in layers of 0-5 mm thickness. It is designed for internal use in domestic or commercial applications such as offices, public buildings, schools etc. weber.floor 4031 is designed for fine smoothing of floor surfaces prior to installation of vinyl, carpets, etc.

Light ventilation in the work area is necessary but windows and openings must be closed sufficiently to avoid draughts, during and after application. Indoor and floor temperature should exceed +10C during and after application and for one week after that. The relative humidity of the substrate must be less than 95 %. Insufficient drying time or poor film formation in the priming layer, due to low temperature and/or high humidity, may result in pinholes in the levelling layer.

The substrate should be clean, free from grease, weak surface layers and dust. weber.floor 4031 super flow is designed primarily for use on concrete floors, stone,ceramics, etc. The substrate should have a surface tensile strength of at least 1N/mm2 (pull off strength)

The substrate should be mechanically cleaned free from dust, grease or other impurities that might prevent adhesion. Prime the substrate; weber.floor 4716 is recommended (see separate weber.floor 4716 data sheet). The temperature of work area and substrate should be between +10° C and +25°C.

weber.floor 4031 should be thoroughly mixed with 27% water; approx. 6.75 litres per 25 kg bag. The material should be applied using a drill fitted with a paddle for minimum 2 minutes. A continuous mixing pump can also be used. Once mixed, the compound remains workable for approx; 20 minutes No further water should be added.

For a thin layer (0-2 mm) the material should be spread using a smoothing trowel; for layers of 2-5 mm a notched trowel is recommended. Any fine adjustment is completed by sanding or the application of further layers may be undertaken as soon as the compound has hardened sufficiently. Tools and machinery should be cleaned using water.

weber.floor 4031 super flow can accept foot traffic after approx. 2-3 hours. Before laying the floor covering it should always be checked that the structure has dried out sufficiently. weber.floor 4031super flow can be covered after approx. 24 hours provided the covering will withstand minimum 85% RH. The stated drying time assumes a good drying atmosphere of +20°C, 50% RH and an exchange of air.

High humidity of the substrate and poor drying conditions prolong the setting time. For moisture sensitive coverings, e.g. wooden floors, the manufacturer's instructions should be followed.

Approx. 12 months when stored in a dry place.
