Elm Park Development - Dublin 4

weber.therm XM was installed on different areas within the Elm Park development: 7 blocks citizen houses, residential block 2 (7th & 8th floors, soffits, leisure centre soffits) and office block C.

weber.therm XM is a high performance external wall insulation system protected by meshcloth reinforced polymer renders. The option of insulating walls externally has many advantages. By locating the insulation on the outside, the supporting wall construction falls into the warm zone and is kept warm and dry. This means the supporting wall structure contributes more to the insualtion 'tally' and, in the case of masonry structures, will act as a heat store.

weber.therm XM, systems have BBA approval covering various type of insulation and many renders finishes.

The system is comprised of mineral fibre slabs, reinforcement meshcloth and was fixed mechanically and reinforced with weber.rend LAC, a low density polymer-modified dry powder cement based mortar. One coat of weber.rend PTC was applied as a finish layer.

Two of the main advantages in using weber.therm XM are the efficiency that the EWI system can offer in terms of thermal insulation and secondly the comprehensive range of colours and textures available to create a striking visual aesthetic.
