Technical data

Preparation
All surfaces must be mechanically sound, dry and clean. Ensure surfaces are free from dirt dust, paint, grease and any other contamination.
Cement laitance should be removed from concrete.
New concrete should be 28 days old.
Mixing
Part mixing
Measuring cups are provided in 25 kg pack and the mixing ratio is:
- 2 cups liquid resin
- 1 cup white powder hardener
- 3 to 6 cups grey filler
Note: Do not mix more than 4 cups of resin, 2 cups of hardener and 12 cups of filler.
Mix and place small quantities of weber.tec mortar to avoid wastage.
Pour the resin into a clean, dry plastic or rubber bucket and gradually stir in the white powder hardener using a flat blade or palette knife. Stir until a uniform colour and consistency is achieved, then slowly add the grey filler and mix to the required consistency.
Add 3 cups of filler for a fluid mortar and 6 cups for a stiff mortar.
Small quantities can be mixed by hand using a flat blade or alternatively in a forced-action mixer.
Application
Immediately after mixing, place the mortar ensuring it is in full contact with the surfaces and compacted into position. weber.tec mortar sets quickly and should be used immediately after mixing.
Three grades of material are available:
- weber.tec mortar standard
- weber.tec mortar rapid
A Tropical Grade is available for large-volume orders.
Setting times are dependent on temperature and are detailed in the Technical Data table on the facing page.
