Technical data

Preparation

All surfaces shall be mechanically sound and clean. Ensure surfaces are free from dirt dust, paint, grease and any other contamination.

Laitance should be removed from concrete and ensure surfaces are clean.

Mixing

Mix the components in a suitable dry plastic container with a flat blade or spatula.

Add 1 cup of resin and slowly add 2 cups of powder hardener and mix to a smooth paste.

If a stiff mix is required, add a further cup of powder and mix well.

Application

Use weber.tec filler (Certite Filler) immediately after mixing. The pot life or working time of weber.tec filler (Certite Filler) will depend on the ambient air temperature, therefore the correct choice of the appropriate grade is essential.

Do not mix more material than is required.

Apply firmly in contact with the surface, building up thickness and levelling off as work proceeds.

To improve the surface finish, wet the steel float or trowel with weber.tec solvent 1 (Solvent No. 1) and smooth over weber.tec filler just prior to the material setting.

Note
Weber.tec polyester products will not adhere to plastics, rubber, glass or glazed surfaces. For applications in service above normal temperatures, under sustained loads, for dynamic loads or where there is a risk of fire, please contact weber's Technical Services.
