Technical data

Preparation

If considered necessary, substrates should be primed with weber.cote primer.

New surfaces should be clean, sound and dry. Concrete must be free of coatings or mould oil and any laitance should be removed following which the surface should be primed with weber.cote primer.

Old surfaces must also be clean, sound and dry. Glossy surfaces should be roughened to provide a key. Lichen, moss or fungal growth must be removed and the areas treated with weber CL150 applied in accordance with the instructions on the data sheet*.

Chalky or friable surfaces or previously decorated surfaces which are flaking should be wire brushed to remove loose materials and then stabilised by one coat of weber.cote primer.

On rough surfaces such as exposed aggregate panels, application of weber.cote clear is made easier if surfaces are primed with weber.cote primer, which should be allowed to dry before application of the first coat.

* Full data sheet available from weber on request.

Application

For complete protection, a two coat application by brush, roller or spray is recommended.

Depending on drying conditions and surface suction the weber.cote clear and weber.cote smooth coatings may be given a second coat in as little as 2 to 4 hours.
