weberset rapid plus becomes Eco-Friendly

weberset rapid plus by Saint-Gobain Weber now contains cement replacement technology.
By replacing a proportion of the cement-based content of weberset rapid plus with cement replacement technology, the impact of initial excavation and transport have been significantly reduced. While improving the environmental impact of this adhesive its performance qualities and characteristics remain unchanged.
weberset rapid plus, one of the most popular powder products in Saint-Gobain Weber's tile fixing range, has been specially developed to allow easy bedding of large format ceramic and porcelain tiles to walls and floors. It is suitable for use on solid substrates with under-floor heating and is polymer modified to provide a strong bond onto tiles and substrates with low porosity.
"This improved product demonstrates Weber's commitment to sustainability whilst offering customers the same quality and performance," says James Mead, marketing manager, Saint-Gobain Weber. "Its rapid-setting capacity means floor and wall tiles are ready for grouting in just two hours which is a great advantage in controlling site costs and delivering a job in good time for fast access by other trades and homeowners. But the new formulation is better for the tile fixer and better for the environment."
weberset rapid plus carries Rewards codes that can be registered at www.loveweberco.uk as part of the Love Weber Rewards loyalty scheme. Tile fixers can redeem their points and earn exciting gifts ranging from electronic devices to branded clothing, hotel breaks and Virgin Experience Days. By simply peeling off the sticker a unique code is revealed and customers who have registered on the site can build Loyalty Rewards points. The new 'Redeem on the Go' App allows busy tilers to register their codes at any time of the day overcoming the chance of misplacing the valuable stickers.
weberset rapid plus is available in Light Grey and will shortly be available in White. It is packaged in 10 and 20kg bags and requires only the addition of clean water on site. weberset rapid plus can be used with weber AD250 to increase flexibility and ease of application.
Locally manufactured in Saint-Gobain Weber's purpose built factories in Telford, Shropshire and Flitwick, Bedfordshire, products in the tile fixing range are easily and conveniently delivered throughout the UK with reduced transportation miles.
