Weber Lead the Way in One-Coat Technology

Saint-Gobain Weber offers savings in time and money through a range of external renders which incorporate One-Coat Technology.

The multiple benefits of One-Coat Technology are being quickly recognised for their contribution to the reduction of programme works.  By avoiding the drying time associated with a traditional two-coat system by as much as 50%, on-site labour and the cost of other associated equipment is greatly reduced.  Products with One-Coat Technology have the advantage of factory controlled production offering consistent quality and performance, are pre-mixed and require only the addition of clean water on site.  All One-Coat Technology products can be machine applied reducing application time further, ultimately resulting in less disruption to tenants and homeowners.

Saint-Gobain Weber’s high performance weberpral M and weberpral D monocouche renders are the first to carry the A+ BRE Green Guide rating adding to the mandatory requirements of a Code for Sustainable Homes assessment and incorporate One-Coat Technology.  The recently launched weberend dash, designed to achieve a dry-dash finish in just one-coat, is proving to be highly popular with developers and applicators who are benefiting from substantially reduced application time.  weberend OCR, a range of proprietary renders based on Portland cement, lime and sand, offer One-Coat Technology and provides an excellent background for all Saint-Gobain Weber finishes, masonry paints and many other types of surface coatings. 

One coat technology is incorporated into the award-winning and Energy Savings Trust recognised webertherm XP External Wall Insulation (EWI) system which uses webertherm M1 mesh-reinforced, one-coat, through-coloured render.  This high performance system is BBA accredited, provides dramatically improved levels of thermal performance and requires little maintenance.
