Saint-Gobain Weber launch flooring CPD
12 09 2013
Saint-Gobain Weber have introduced a new RIBA certified Continuous Professional Development (CPD) presentation 'Introduction into Flowing Floor Screeds' covering industrial, commercial, retail and design floor applications.
Designed especially for architects, main contractors, applicators and interior designers, the Flooring CPD identifies the characteristics of the screeds in this comprehensive, high performance range of products and how their individual properties can easily be identified to meet the performance criteria of specific areas.
Efficient application and ease of use is an important factor for the applicator and in a fast moving commercial, retail environment and industrial environment, time is always critical. Floors have to be laid quickly and made available to other trades in the shortest possible time. The Flooring CPD by Saint-Gobain Weber addresses why and where to use different screeds taking into consideration consistency, strength, speed of application and drying time.
Thick screeds, such as anhydrites or hemi-hydrates, and thin levelling or design floor screed suitable for new build and refurbishment, are presented in detail together with the performance factors that influence specification, from light pedestrian through to robust industrial impact and rolling loads.
A technical section on how Saint-Gobain Weber’s flooring screeds meet the latest Part L and Part E requirements of current Building Regulations’, and consideration to health, safety and sustainability in the reduction of waste, harmful emissions, and recycling are also covered in detail.
The 30 minute Flooring CPD is presented by Saint-Gobain Weber’s sales team either on site or at the clients’ offices for individuals and small groups. The service is free and available on request.
